Cory Richardson
Senior Advisor
Cory Richardson brings more than 25 years of experience in federal law enforcement, investigations, security, and risk management to Salus Solutions. During his FBI career, he served as Supervisory Senior Resident Agent leading federal investigative activity across West Texas and New Mexico. His work included national security, counterintelligence, cybercrime, public corruption, fraud, and other complex investigations in the United States and abroad.
Richardson's experience is especially deep in the Permian Basin. While with the FBI, he worked with the Permian Basin Oilfield Theft Task Force to address theft and criminal activity affecting one of the nation's most important energy-producing regions. Today he advises oil and gas operators and other clients on security, investigations, fraud prevention, policy, and crisis response. His approach to oilfield security is practical: control access, improve lighting and surveillance, understand who knows the operation, and investigate the human element behind the loss.
Richardson holds a Master of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Administration. He has also taught public-corruption investigations and energy-sector crime to domestic and international audiences. As a Senior Advisor to Salus, he applies the same investigative discipline to incident response, planning, training, security, and complex operations: establish the facts, understand the threat, find the vulnerability, and act before the loss grows.
