Bradley Amstutz

Bradley Amstutz brings more than 30 years of law-enforcement, special-operations, investigative, and emergency-planning experience to Salus Solutions. During his career with the Raleigh Police Department, he served in patrol, field training, investigations, community policing, critical-incident operations, and command. As a Special Operations commander, he directed SWAT and gang-suppression operations and supervised 42 sworn special-operations officers. He later commanded the Detective Division, overseeing more than 90 officers, detectives, supervisors, and civilian personnel responsible for investigations involving drugs, vice, organized crime, financial crimes, and other serious offenses.

Amstutz has planned security and emergency operations for environments where failure carries serious consequences: airports, rail and bus systems, nuclear facilities, schools, universities, federal buildings, arenas, and major public events. As SWAT Commander, he coordinated with the U.S. Secret Service to support protection for Presidents, Vice Presidents, presidential candidates, and other visiting dignitaries. His major-event assignments included the 2002 and 2006 Stanley Cup Finals, the 2011 NHL All-Star Game, the 2019 NHL Eastern Conference Finals, North Carolina gubernatorial inaugurations in 2001 and 2013, and law-enforcement operations during the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. He has also worked on airport-emergency planning, training, response, and recovery and contributed to research, guidance, and airport-staff training associated with FAA preparedness efforts.

His experience extends beyond tactical operations. Amstutz coordinated Crisis Intervention Training for more than 400 police officers and Mental Health First Aid training for more than 1,000 civilian employees. Today, as a Senior Program Director with Salus Solutions, he applies that experience to security, emergency preparedness, operational planning, training, and complex incident response. He has spent his career preparing people for difficult moments: understand the environment, build the plan, train the team, and be ready when the plan becomes real.
